BETHLEHEM (2022): While mourning my father’s passing on daily hikes in Northwestern Connecticut, I collected dead branches. Starting with the simple idea of re-constructing a tree from fallen limbs to re-animate the feeling of the life-force of nature, the lines move in all directions, yet unlike trees, the “branches” in the Bethlehem sculptures ultimately connect like a playful, etheric, möbius strip. One can touch and hold these branches and imagine an invisible skin on the spaces between them.
